THE LARGEST TREES IN THE WORLD

I am sitting under a Redwood tree.
Do you know that the largest trees in the world grow in California?
Yes, the Largest!!! Or the two largest trees in the world, the Giant Sequoias and the Coastal Redwoods.
Many people think they are the same thing because they both are huge, and they both grow in California, but they are not the same.

Coastal redwoods are the tallest trees in the whole world, they grow near the coast of California, in a wet environment, and they can live around 2000 years. The tallest tree on Earth is one of them, it is more than 115 metres tall!

Giant Sequoias are the widest trees in the whole world, and they grow far from the coast, in a mild and dry environment, and they can live up to 3500 years. The widest tree on Earth is a Giant Sequoia that is more that 111 metres in diametre!

Here  is a video that gives you more information about the differences between the two, if you want to know more.

I love these forests, they are awesome!!
